Situated in the far south of Austria, not far from Italy and Slovenia, the region is an ideal place for meetings, seminars and corporate events. Klagenfurt is an easy train ride or flight away; its airport is just a few kilometres outside the city, and the main train station is very close the convention centre. If arriving by car, simply take the A2 from Graz if coming from the east, or via Villach if coming from the west. If you choose this option, you’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular views along Lake Wörthersee. What a way to get you in the mood for your seminar.

Whether in Velden, Pörtschach or Klagenfurt, the turquoise waters of Lake Wörtersee in Austria’s south are definitely worth a trip. On the lake’s southern shore is the striking Pyramidenkogel, a viewing tower offering spectacular views over Lake Wörtersee and all of Carinthia. Our two secret tips are not located right on the lake, but are still in idyllic Carinthian nature. One of them is the Hotel am See – Die Forelle. This stunning property with gorgeous parklands is situated on Lake Millstatt – one of more than 200 bathing lakes in Carinthia. The Almdorf Seinerzeit, meanwhile, is not located on a lake at all, but instead provides a breathtaking view of Carinthia’s Nock Mountains. It is a chalet village of traditional wooden huts – authentic, cosy and luxurious. The perfect place for brainstorming seminars, creative workshops and relaxed downtime.
